ai slop: the sloppening
hey, remember when i last shat on mozilla? apparently they liked that so much they decided to piss everyone off AGAIN, except this time it's not a blogpost, it's the enshittification of their most valuable asset.
i'm not gonna go too in depth on what exactly they did because a bunch of people have already talked about that, but it's not good.
they effectively killed their browser, and for what? a bit of extra money from selling user data to ai companies? because that's probably what they're planning, unless they're just gonna sell it to the highest bidder like google would do
it fucking sucks, especially now that google also gimped ad blockers, and every browser alternative is either google, microsoft, a dogshit chromium reskin shilled by cryptobros and schizos, or won't reach alpha for the next 5 years
if you're looking for an alternative that isn't completely terrible, librewolf is pretty good imo (yeah yeah i shilled it last time i was talking about "the woke lgbt virus" but it seems to be the best bet for now, unless some savior fork comes out and everyone switches to that)
zen and floorp seem a little sketchy to me, but they're there if you like vertical tabs
or you could just go fuck it and use something like dillo or links
